There will be an upcoming event for Korean startups in Seoul, where they can learn about opportunities for partnerships, investment and acceleration in Taiwan.  This will be a great opportunity to learn about Taiwan’s growing startup ecosystem as well as Garage+.   The event is fully catered and being held at Google Campus on Sept. 21 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.

Garage+ is a zero-equity incubator, supported by Taiwan-based blue-chip companies.  They are coming to show to let startups in Korea know about the potential partners, investors, and markets in Taiwan.  All the benefits of starting a startup in Taiwan will be explained as well as programs that are offered through Garage+ and their founder, Epoch Foundation.  This networking event at Google Campus Seoul, will have representatives from Epoch Foundation that will explain the support services that Garage+ provides for promising foreign startups from the seed stage to series A.

Garage+ does a Startup Global Program that connects startups with Taiwan’s industrial resources.  The program offers flight tickets as well as accommodation during the 10-day tour that includes visits to Taiwan’s leading manufacturers and high-tech companies such as TSMC, Wistron, Quanta Computer, and Delta Electronics.  They will also have a chance to pitch for up to $100,000 in funding, office space for 3 months, and help in applying for Taiwan’s entrepreneur visa.  Those that get into the Garage+ program have a high chance of raising funding from Taiwan, in fact 75% of all startups have gotten funding from Taiwan after getting accepted to the program.

At the event held at Google Campus, Korean startups will get to hear from startups that have found success in Taiwan.

There are many advantages for Korean companies looking to go to Taiwan.  Korea and Taiwan already trade $12 billion worth of goods and services.  In 2015, Taiwan was the top-ranked Asian country on the Global Entrepreneurship and Development Index.  Those that are interested in learning more about taking their business to Taiwan should come to this event at Google Campus.  Here is a map to Google Campus’s location.
