South Korean internet giant Kakao’s K-Cube Ventures is a startup investment fund that believes in harnessing the power of startups in order to change the world.  To solve real world problem their needs to be strong and motivated entrepreneurs that are looking to better the quality of life for everyone.  This is why K Cube Ventures has been looking for the most talented and creative startups in Korea.  They typically invest in all things mobile, ranging from mobiles series to games.  This Monday they invested over $350,000 in Jubilee Works which is the developer of the mobile scheduling app Jubilee TimeTree.

$350,000 is a typical investment for K-Cube Venture who’s investments usually range from $100,000 to $1.5 million per deal.  K Cube Venture has a strong track record for identifying strong contenders and startup teams.  Now Jubilee Works has joined the K Cube Family which can help Jubilee in the early stages.  They will be a part of a community that share similar visions and networks.

K Cube Ventures was not the only investor to invest in Jubilee Works.  Companies such as Toei Animation, Plantree Partners, Seibu Shinkin Capital, and SMBC Capital Markets have also invested, in total Jubilee Works has gotten over $2 million in investments.

So why is Jubilee Works getting so much attention from investors?  Well it has a lot to do with their mobile app Jubilee TimeTree which lets small groups such as friends, family, and co-workers to share their schedules via a shared calendar.  There they can coordinate with each other and plan ahead.

Everyone’s schedule will be on one calendar.  Every group can have their own calendar and it can all be displayed at once.  Users can display all schedules by most
recent changes or comments.  Of course users can also sort by date.  Users then can post comments and pictures for every schedule to make it easy to discuss and confirm plans.  Jubilee TimeTree also works on your PC.

With over 2.3 million registered users, more than 1 million of which are active users, Jubilee TimeTree seems to be an app that people need. It is available in 13 languages, including Korean, English and Japanese.  As the app continues to grow and get more funding they will continue to add new languages which will in turn continue to grow their user base.
