Aegyo is not just for female Kpop Idols. Male Kpop Idols have mastered the art of male Aegyo. Aegyo is a Korean slang that means to be cute and childlike. When compared to the West it could be looked at as "baby talk". Aegyo is heavily used in South Korean culture and media. While many think it applies to females, it is not exclusive to any gender. Both men and women in Korea can express Aegyo in various ways. Mostly it is through words but it can also be gestures and facial expressions. Kpop stars and Kdrama stars often use Aegyo in interviews and sometimes in their performance. We gathered a list of male Kpop idols that have used male Aegyo the best. Monsta X is a Kpop boy group that has gained a lot of attention around the world. They are a major part of Starship Entertainment and were formed through the survival show “No Mercy” back in 2015 which was a huge hit. Beomhan (real name: Harald Wu) is a Chinese-American Kpop trainee that was expected to debut with his fellow group members of M.O.N.T. Arena. However in September of 2023, his contract was terminated by FM Entertainment. This was a shocking move as Beomham was gathering a large following through his social media activities, especially on Instagram and TikTok (Over 2.7 million followers). He is considered one of the up-and-coming Chinese Kpop stars in the industry. 

FIFTY FIFTY is a four-member Kpop girl group that made its debut under ATTRAKT Creative Group on November 18, 2022. The FIFTY FIFTY members have been in a legal battle with ATTRAKT recently. There were lawsuits and accusations that we will not go into detail here as it has not fully been settled. However, at the moment, Keena is the only original member as Saena, Sio, and Aran have been replaced. Keena has stated she tried to convince the other group members to file the lawsuit. Since the other members did not withdraw their lawsuits, ATTRAKT terminated their contracts and vowed to pursue legal action against the 3 former members.
