How wealthy are the members of BTS? The BTS Net Worth figures are tough to find; however, we can estimate our best based on their salary, endorsement deals, and other projects. One thing we know for sure is that each BTS member has a base salary of $8 million a year. Also, each BTS member has 68,000 shares of HYBE stock which went public in October 2020. Those stocks are currently valued at an additional $9 million for each member. So it is safe to assume each member has a base net worth of $17 million.
The biggest question remains: How much of the profits from BTS merchandise go to the members? BTS fans spend much of their hard-earned money buying BTS merch to support BTS, not so much HYBE. It has been estimated that the average hardcore BTS fan spends over $1,000 a year on BTS merchandise. We know that most profits go directly to the entertainment companies, not the talent because they own the licensing rights.
We will constantly update this article to see which BTS member is the richest. In addition, those that feel they are true BTS fans should take some time to see if they can get 20/20 on the hardest BTS quiz online.
J-Hope (Jung Ho-Seok) – #1 BTS Net Worth
The richest BTS member has to be either J-Hope or Suga since each has succeeded with their solo projects. How much of the profits do they get? It is unknown, but these profits go to them as individuals and not to the group as a whole. J-Hope’s Hope World was such a success that J-Hope has to be ranked #1 here.
J-Hope was born Jung Hoseok on February 18, 1994. He debuted with BTS in 2013, with the release of the group’s first single album, “2 Cool 4 Skool.” In addition to his musical career, J-Hope is also an active philanthropist, supporting various causes such as children’s education and mental health awareness.
He is usually responsible for developing and teaching the choreography to his band members. He has a partnership with Louis Vuitton. Again, his mixtape, Hope World, was a huge success and showed his ability to leverage social media channels like TikTok and Instagram. So much so that after the release of Hope World, J-Hope purchased a luxury apartment in Seoul that is now valued at $2.2 million. Check out his commercial for Puma above.
In 2022, J-Hope performed at Lollapalooza 2022 and the 2022 MAMA Awards, showing his value is still increasing.
The Estimated Net Worth of J-Hop: $35-38 million
Suga (Min Yoongi)
Suga is next on the BTS Net Worth list thanks to the releases of his solo mixtapes Agust D and D-2. He was born on March 9, 1993, in Daegu, South Korea. His real name is Min Yoon-gi. Suga’s father was a CEO, and his mother was a hairdresser. When he was in junior high school, he started to learn hip-hop and breakdancing. In 2010, he auditioned for Big Hit Entertainment and changed his stage name to Suga. He made his debut with BTS in 2013.
His role in the group is lead rapper and producer. Suga has composed and produced several songs for BTS, including “First Love,” “What Am I to You,” and “Hold Me Tight.” He has collaborated with other artists outside of BTS, including IU, Epik High, Suran, Halsey, and Lee Soo-hyun. He is also one of the most charitable members of BTS; he has donated money to various causes throughout his career.
Similar to J-Hope, Suga is also a songwriter. He has written and produced over 70 songs. This is where his value increases, as he has created pieces for many artists in and out of Korea. For every song he writes and produces, Suga gets paid. He even made songs for Halsey!
His partnership with Samsung could set Suga up to be the richest member of BTS. He has put an upbeat new spin on Samsung’s signature musical theme, “Over the Horizon,” in 2022. It was fully produced by Suga and can be found on Samsung Electronics’ social channels. In addition, Suga collaborated with PSY for the hit single ‘That That.’
Suga is also the new brand ambassador for Valentino, an Italian luxury fashion house.
The Estimated Net Worth of Suga: $33-36 million
RM (Kim Nam-Joon)
RM (Rap Monster) was born Namjoon Kim in 1994; RM began his musical career as an underground rapper in South Korea. In addition to his work with BTS, RM has released several solo tracks and collaborated with several other artists. He is known for his introspective lyrics and powerful delivery and has been praised as one of the most talented rappers in K-pop. Besides music, RM is a noted philanthropist, having worked with various charities and organizations to raise awareness for important causes. In 2019, he was named a UNESCO goodwill ambassador for peace, making him the first Korean pop star to receive the honor.
RM does most of the talking when doing global interviews in English. He is also a songwriter with over 130 song credits. RM has two solo mixtapes (RM and Mono). He has also released a solo mixtape by working with U.S. rapper Warren G. It will not be surprising if RM becomes a very powerful producer in the Korean music industry, whether for K-pop or Korean Hip Hop. We don’t know if he will succeed in the business world of Kpop, but we know that he is very book-smart. It was rumored that RM took the University Entrance exam in Korea and scored in the top 1% for language, math, social studies, and English.
The Estimated Net Worth of RM: $30-$32 million
Jimin (Park Jimin)
Jimin, the full name Park Ji-min, was born on October 13, 1995, in Busan, South Korea. As a child, he dreamed of becoming a singer and took singing and dancing lessons. In 2013, he auditioned for the Korean entertainment company Big Hit Entertainment and became a member of BTS. Jimin is known for his strong vocal chops and powerful dance moves, and he is one of the most popular members of BTS. Outside of his work with the group, Jimin has also released several solo singles and has appeared on various Korean TV shows.
Brands love Jimin, as he has ranked #1 in the 100 Individual Brand Reputation Rankings for 19 consecutive months. Many feel he is the best singer on BTS as he is the one who can hit all of the high notes. He is also a songwriter and has released his solo song, Promise. If Jimin ever went solo, he would have a very successful career. Therefore, there is huge potential with Jimin if BTS ever goes their separate ways. In 2023, Jimin was announced as the official global brand ambassador for the French luxury fashion house Dior. In addition, he collaborated with his idol Taeyang from BigBang for the hit single ‘VIBE.’
The Estimated Net Worth of Jimin: $28-$30 million
Jungkook (Jeon Jeong-kook)
Jungkook is the youngest member of BTS. He was born on September 1, 1997, in Busan, South Korea. His name means “golden retriever” in Korean. His parents own a classical music education center called Jeonju Arts Center. Growing up, he was timid and introverted. In elementary school, he was scouted by an agency while singing and dancing on the streets with his friends. After being persuaded by his mother, he audited and was accepted into BigHit Entertainment as a trainee. He trained for three years before debuting with BTS in 2013.
He has also composed and produced several tracks for BTS, including “Stigma,” “Begin,” and “Euphoria.” In addition to his musical talents, Jungkook is also a skilled athlete. He was a national Taekwondo champion in his youth and still practices martial arts today.
Jungkook is the most searched BTS member on Google. Therefore an argument can be made that Jungkook is the most popular BTS member from the international audience. It was reported that Jungkook bought his apartment in Seoul by paying $1.7 million in cash. He has repeatedly stressed that he would like to produce his mixtape, and BTS fans are waiting in anticipation. Once he does, he has the potential to skyrocket up this list. Jungkook is also known for doing cover songs for artists like Justin Bieber and Charlie Puth. Therefore, there is a considerable upside here for cross-promotion collaborations with western pop stars.
Jungkook recently performed at the 2022 opening ceremony for FIFA World Cup Qatar.
The Estimated Net Worth of Jungkook: $28-$30 million
V (Kim Tae-Hyung)
V, born Kim Tae-hyung, debuted with BTS on June 13, 2013, with the release of their single “No More Dream.” He initially served as the group’s lead vocalist but later switched to rap. V released his first solo song, “Scenery,” in January 2019. It peaked at number 88 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In October 2018, V was featured on Halsey’s single “Bad at Love,” which peaked at number five on the Hot 100. He has also been listed as one of the most beautiful people in the world by multiple publications.
V is the second youngest member of BTS. The potential of V is high as he is the most likely to transition into acting. He has already done some acting roles and even had a supporting role in a historical Korean drama. Therefore don’t be shocked if V moves away from the Kpop entertainment industry and into the Korean drama scene in the future. In addition, he has released his songs, such as Scenery and Winter Bear. He recently produced an OST for the hit Korean Drama Itaewon Class, Sweet Night.
The Estimated Net Worth of V: $26-$28 million
Jin (Kim Seok-jin)
Jin was born on December 4, 1992, in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, the eldest son of an affluent family. His father is a businessman, and his mother is a former professional golfer. He was first signed to the label as an actor. Jin made his acting debut in the 2011 sitcom “Ojakgyo Brothers.” After that, he appeared in various TV dramas such as “Flower Boy Next Door” (2013) and “Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth” (2016-2017).
Outside of his work in music and television, Jin is also known for his charity work. He has donated money to various causes, such as relief efforts for victims of natural disasters.
Jin might be the overall best businessman in the group. It makes sense since he is the oldest member of the group. He graduated from Konkuk University back in 2017. Recently, Jin has released two solo songs (Tonight and Abyss). He has already opened a Japanese restaurant in Korea with his brother. His apartment in Seoul has a value of $1.9 million. If you consider the family net worth, Jin will rank at the top as the richest BTS member. We feel Jin’s future will be in the MC industry and could see him be a great host for upcoming Korean music programs. Check out Jin’s commercial for Samsung’s S-Pen above.
The Estimated Net Worth of Jin: $26 million
