There have not been many Kpop stars who were brother and sister. This makes the death of Moon Bin that much sadder as he will never again get to perform next to his beloved sister Moon Sua. However, we know that Moon Bin is looking down on her and she continues to live her dream. In dedication to Moon Sua we have decided to showcase some of the top brother/sister Kpop stars.
Moonbin (ASTRO) and Moon Sua (Billlie)
Moon Bin and Moon Sua were the greatest brother-sister duo in K-pop. If you don’t believe us, just check out their performance together above. Moon Bin was born on January 26, 1998, while Moon Sua was born on September 9, 1999, making Moon Bin the older sibling by just a year! Moon Bin became a star by being the main dancer and lead vocalist of ASTRO and Moon Sua is the main rapper and lead vocalist for Kpop girl group Billie. Moonbin is the main dancer, lead vocalist, and center of ASTRO, while Moon Sua is the main rapper and lead vocalist of Billlie.
Sandara Park and Thunder
Sandara Park (DARA) was born on Novemeber 12, 1984. She is one of the most successful Kpop stars of all time. She is 6 years older than Thunder who was born on October 7, 1990. Thunder was the lead rapper and lead dancer for the Kpop boy group MBLAQ. Sandrara Park was a part of one of the most successful Kpop girl groups of all time in 2NE1. Thunder has gone on to have a solo career and has done some acting. Sandara Park has been very supportive of her brother when he participated in Sing Again 2.
Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Su-hyun (Akdong Musician)
Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Su-hyun are one of the most well-known sibling duos in the Kpop reality show industry. They started their careers with SBS’ singing reality show K-pop Star 2 and made their debut as a duo named AKMU (Akdong Musician) under YG Entertainment. Many fans refer to them as “Tom and Jerry” for their constant playful fighting. Chan-hyuk was born on September 12, 1996 while Su-hyun was born on May 4, 1999. They make a great pair as Chan-hyuk raps while Su-hyun sings.
Huening Kai and Huening Bahiyyih
Huening Kai and Huening Bahiyyih are some of the top up-and-coming siblings in the Kpop industry. Kai (born 2002) made his debut in the super popular Kpop boy group TXT. His sister Bahiyyih (born 2004) was a contestant on Mnet’s Kpop survival show Girls Planet 999 and made her debut with Kep1er in 2021. They are Korean-American and speak English and Korean fluently. They have an older sister named Lea (born 2000) who used to be a member of the group VIVA.
Ilhoon and JOO
JOO was first to make a name for herself as a Kpop idol with her great voice. Then came her younger brother Ilhoon who debuted with BTOB. JOO would help Ilhoon when they were young in terms of dancing and singing. She also was a mentor to him during his rookie years as he was getting into the industry.
Han Sun Hwa and Han Seungwoo
Han Sun Hwa (born 1990) is a former member of the successful K-pop girl group Secret. She has also appeared in various TV dramas such as School 2013 and Radiant Office. She has had a successful career which her younger brother hopes to achieve. Han Seungwoo (born 1994) is a former member of the Kpop Boy Group X1, which was formed through the Korean survival show Produce X 101. He was a part of the group Victon.
Kim Jae Kyung and Kim Jaehyun
Kim Jae Kyung (born 1988) is known for her love for her brother, Kim Jaehyun (born 1994). In a recent interview, Kim Jaehyun stated, “My sister tells me every detail that she noticed from monitoring me on TV. Some time ago, she told me not to do certain things on TV.” Kim Jae Kyung supported her brother by sending a coffee truck to N.flying’s music video shooting set. Jaehyun is the drummer of N.Flying, while Jaekyung is the leader, main dancer, lead vocalist, visual, and face of the group Rainbow.
