Aegyo is not just for female K-pop idols. Male Kpop Idols have mastered the art of male Aegyo. Aegyo is a Korean slang that means to be cute and childlike. When compared to the West it could be looked at as “baby talk”. Aegyo is heavily used in South Korean culture and media. While many think it applies to females, it is not exclusive to any gender. Both men and women in Korea can express Aegyo in various ways. Mostly it is through words but it can also be gestures and facial expressions. Kpop stars and Kdrama stars often use Aegyo in interviews and sometimes in their performance. We gathered a list of male Kpop idols that have used male Aegyo the best. Watch the videos and judge for yourself. It is great to see these male Kpop stars showcasing a playful and cute side rather than conforming to traditional masculine stereotypes.
V (BTS) – Best Male Aegyo
Many call V the “King of Aegyo” and it is not hard to see why. He has a skill of using his tongue in a very cute way and when you add that to his sexy smirk, you have male aegyo at its finest.
Jooheon (Monsta X)
Many might feel Joohoney should not be on this list because he has stated recently that he has retired from aegyo. However, watching his many interviews, he just can’t help himself. On stage, he wants to be charismatic, but Monbebes feels that whatever he does, looks cute. So really it doesn’t matter what he does.
Sanha (Astro)
“Bbu Bbu” is a unique aegyo act that was created by ASTRO member SanHa and no one does it better than him.
Jungkook (BTS)

Another BTS member who has natural aegyo is Jimin. However, unlike the other members, Jimin is not shy to showcase his aegyo to his band members and to his fans.

MJ has adorable aegyo and when you combine that with his cute vocals, you have a combination that is hard to beat.
JaeMin (NCT)
Jaemin is the master at making fun of himself while doing aegyo. While some might find it cringe, that is what is funny and cute about it.
Sunoo (ENHYPEN)
Sunoo has great aegyo for one reason. His smile. His smile lights up the room and he has been known to wear cute customs to bring out even more cuteness.
JunKyu (Treasure)
There is no faking aegyo here. This is the way Junkyu acts and is why fans really like him. He is just being himself.
